Common Local Birds by Habitat

Birds most likely to find in the habitats of Monterey County, including some of the species you may see at your feeder. Many areas in the county have overlapping "micro habitats", so the lists here are not inclusive to specific locations, and you may see birds from several of these lists where you live. One of the joys of bird feeding is spotting the many visitors to your yard, including seasonal vagrants and occasional rarities.
